What is the Firefly AI Assistant?
Since April 27, 2026, the Firefly AI Assistant has been available as a public beta. It is not a simple chatbot but an AI agent built directly into Adobe Firefly (the web-based creative platform). The assistant can execute complex, multi-step workflows that previously required manually switching between Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Premiere.

- Full control: You can observe every step the assistant takes in real time and intervene or adjust results at any point

1. Open firefly.adobe.com and sign in with your Adobe account
2. Click the AI Assistant in the sidebar
3. Describe your task in natural language
4. The assistant shows you its plan before starting -- you can adjust steps or confirm
5. During execution, you see what is happening live and can intervene at any time

Previously, a small social media campaign took several hours: open image in Photoshop, remove background, retouch, export to different formats, add text. With the Firefly AI Assistant, you say: 'Create three social media posts from this photo: a square one for Instagram, a vertical one for Stories, and a landscape one for LinkedIn.
